Used Dodge - American Brands

As we all know, most countries around the world have their own set of home grown car brands. As each culture has a slightly different set of wants and needs, so each country's car brands are individually tailored to a specific audience who want something different from the rest of the world. This is why Scandinavian cars tend to be equipped to deal with rough terrain and depressingly dark nights. Why German cars work so well on long wide roads with plenty of space to use that speed. Why British cars tend to be formal and restrained, with an emphasis on looks above performance. In a similar vein, American car brands tend to be big and powerful - hence the muscle car name that is so well known.

There are a number of well known American car brand, alongside many other less well known companies who tend to produce just one little model or a tiny range that people outside the USA won't have heard of. Of all those brands, there are probably four or five that you have really truly heard of and come across in your life - Chevrolet, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge and probably Jeep. Don't get me wrong, there are many many more brands and cars that should probably be on the list, but I think these are some of the most typical American productions that you could find.

So, what makes them stand out from the crowd of generic international car brands and competitors? Personally I think that a lot of it comes down to the size of the cars x431 pro mini. Where Europe is all about small hatchbacks and compact saloons at the moment, the US is still keen on massive motoring goliaths with gas-guzzling engines and intimidating front grills. The fuel economy may be increasing, but if you walk past any used Dodge or Chrysler garage in the US then you will see lots of shiny pickups and huge 4x4 beasts. Being nippy and light really isn't the priority, and so their world is full of the big and the beautiful Autel MaxiPRO MP808TS.

That size carries on into engines too. You look at a Ford Mustang or o Dodge Challenger and you have a real wild sportscar, one with a v18 or more under the hood and enough power to make you fall over! They aren't subtle, but they don't try to be, and there really is nothing that beats the feeling of speeding down a sunny American highway with the wind in your hair. Personally I don't like the big closed in 4x4s with their huge wheels as much, only because I not used to driving from such a high and truck like perch. Looking at the road from above is something very different to sitting in a European car, and it takes some getting used to.

As you can see, the American brands, whilst individual, do have a whole set of characteristics that make them well and truly American. These features really set them apart when you see them overseas!
